Sales Representative

Basic Job Description:


Hydessco is looking for an active, results-driven sales representative to engage customer prospects, weigh market needs, and maintain a healthy business. Hydessco is capable of fabrication, mechanical and hydraulic repair, maintenance, and installation of various types of equipment. Our primary focus has been to support our clients in the capillary and coil tubing markets in the energy industry. However, we support other markets and needs as they emerge. Tasks and responsibilities may not always be rigidly defined and some adaptability is required.


Summarized Duties and Assignments:


Required duties below are not inclusive but include the following:


Works directly with customers


Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and earns new accounts


Creates quotations and purchase specifications


High mechanical and hydraulic (fluid power) aptitude


Works with purchasing, accounting, fabrication, and engineering departments


Visits existing and new potential clients


Highly organized and keeps records of call logs, client activity, and marketing opportunities


Monitors competition by gathering current available marketplace information on pricing, products, services, etc.


Recommends changes in products and services by evaluating results and new developments


Resolves customer concerns and complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management


Improve operations, streamline work processes, and be a positive member of our team


Understands (or willingness to learn) our hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems


Exercises latitude and high initiative in determining objectives and goals


Travel at time should be expected


Comfortable working with lead supervisor at client facilities or job-sites to better understand needs


Other duties as assigned by manager


Education and Experience


3+ years' experience in mechanical related field


Associates degree or higher preferred, but not required


Comfortable with MS Office and MRP systems

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
