Position Details:
Kilgore College offers a strong and robust collegiate music program with several unique course offerings and performing ensembles including KC Chorale, KC Connection (Choir), Wind Symphony, Marching Band, Chamber Ensembles (Woodwind, Brass, Percussion, Strings, Piano), Big Band Jazz Ensemble String Ensemble, and Steel Band in a department with approximately 100 music students regularly enrolled.
Preparation for several major concerts and solo and ensemble festivals and auditions occurs year-round.

The Department of Music and Dance is seeking qualified instructors in Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, Saxophone, Trumpet, French Horn, Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Classical & Jazz Piano, Classical & Jazz Guitar, Electric Bass to begin in Fall of 2023.
All positions will be required to physically report to the Kilgore or Longview campus location for class.
Responsibilities:
o Applied Private Lesson Teaching at the college levelo Possible Masterclasses with ensembleso Coordinates with the Director of Instrumental MusicMinimum
Qualifications:

Salary Range & Fringe
Benefits:
Salary for adjunct faculty members is based upon level of education and range from $1,800 per 3-hour course for a Master's degree, up to $2,000 per 3-hour course for a doctorate.
Salary for private lessons provided by an adjunct instructor is $35 per hour.
Worker's compensation Limited Part-Time Retirement PlanKilgore College does not participate in the federal Social Security program.
As a result, employees/retirees of the college are subject to the federal Windfall Elimination Provision (WEP) and possibly the Government Pension Offset (GPO) laws.
